Patti and The Lovelites started out as two sisters, Patti and Rozena Hamiliton together with their friend, Barbara Peterman. They recorded for Bandera Records in 1968.
The subject matter of some of their songs is very reminiscent of the The Shangri-las – teenage angst, bad boys and pregnancy etc. Love So Strong, however, is a smooth, soul classic that sounds fresh as ever today.
