Sugar Pie Desanto had two great hits with R and B enthusiasts – SOULFUL DRESS and SLIP IN MULES (NO HIGH HEEL SNEAKERS). Etta James had quite a few – STOP THE WEDDING, I’D RATHER GO BLIND, I JUST WANNA MAKE LOVE TO YOU and TELL MAMMA.
