Action Records in Preston (Behind The Counter Episode 2/12)
The Action Records (UK) label is devoted to independent music, including much in the way of soul and northern soul. Starting on a market stall in Blackpool in 1979, they acquired a shop in Preston which is where they are based today.
Previously, however, Action Records replace the Sue record label in 1968 and we are not sure how the two labels morphed – or not:
