Written by Rogers and Hammerstein years ago, a standard classic. Lots of singers have done this one including this fine version by Ila Van. Billie Holiday’s version is my best recommendation. Ila Van however, gives it the Soul treatment and it’s somewhat brilliant!
We have seen her name spelled both ways: Ila Van and Ila Vann, even though the LP cover seems definitive.
