Mickey’s Monkey
Walter ‘Choker’ Campbell led the tour musicians, The Tamla Motown orchestra when Motown hit the road. He initially played saxophone before leading the Motown backing musicians, He worked with many Mississippi artists in the 40s and early 50s, including Johnny Walker.
Mickey’s Monkey was the only UK release on Motown Records by Chocker Campbell.
The Choker Campbell orchestra toured as backing band for Motown artists in particular The Supremes.
