You Can’t Run Away From Me – United Artists, 1963
The Wanderers were one of those groups that managed to adapt to different styles of music throughout their careers. They were an east coast of the US group that started off way back in 1952 and their first release was Hey Mae Ethel. For a time they became The Larks before resuming as The Singing Wanderers.
Although You Can’t Run Away From Me wasn’t a big hit, it made it into soul clubs in Manchester for a time. Some of their records have become valuable collector’s items.
