The Triumphs recorded the first Volt Record. Raw Dough ‘B’ side, was played but it was Burn’t Biscuits that was hyped up at the Twisted Wheel by Roger Eagle the DJ as he was very pleased with what was one of his earliest Stax related Imports.
“Raw Dough” is very scratched – only copy on YouTube but you can hear on these two instrumentals the formative sounds of The Mar-Keys and Booker T. And The MG’s.
Lewis Steinberg went on to join Booker T and The MGs.
