The Gypsies released “Jerk It” which was a great Soul dance track played at the Twisted Wheel, The Blue Note and the Jigsaw in Manchester. It was written by J J Jackson.
The original line up of the group was Lestine Johnson and the Pearch sisters, Ernestine, Shirley and Betty. In 1966 they became the Flirtations.
