Johnny King and The Fatback Band – Peace, Love Not War. The Fatback Band started in the early 1970s and Johnny King played guitar and sang vocals up to 1979. He also wrote Peace, Love Not War which was one of many anti-war songs out at the time of the Vietnam War. This one is fairly typical of the genre. We prefer War by Edwin Starr, naturally!
Later they became Fatback, release some disc and funk and are credited with turning out the first hip hop single. They were still performing in 2021.
