Stakis Nightclubs Manchester

Stakis Nightclubs Manchester – Mr Stakis was a Greek entrepreneur who at one time had three clubs in Manchester as well as hotels.  The Most popular became Rowntrees, at the Corn Exchange, where Sunday afternoon sessions after an AllNighter were popular with the walking dead from the Twisted Wheel.

Of the other two, there was one on Oxford Rd, and the other and most popular with the Wheel crowd was on Corporation Street at the corner with Fennel Street opposite Withy Grove.

Today the location has become a trendy shopping centre with the original dome on top, the entire building was refurbished after the Manchester IRA bomb.
