The obvious choice of record companies for the soul music sound that was so popular in clubs in the sixties would be Motown, Stax and Atlantic. But many of the more obscure tracks came from obscure record companies which may have had one or two fairly success releases before disappearing for good.
The early to mid sixties’ clubs relied to a great extent on labels such as the one above – Sue Records.
