Gospel Music

Gospel Music was the road into soul and rock for many of the artists who appear in Soulbot.uk. The number of entries where the star crossed over is legion. Sam Cooke, Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin are among them.

Many Gospel Music stars started singing in the local church choir from a very early age and as their voices matured they realised that there could be a more material heaven awaiting those who decided to play The Devil’s Music!
