The blues music boom in the sixties led directly to the major rock groups that were born then, some of which are still going. The Rolling Stones began as a blues group, Eric Clapton became the world famous guitarist by imitating the wonderful black blues guitarists such as BB King, Albert King, T-Bone Walker and many more.
