Ruby and the Romantics made the original recording of When You’re Young And In Love.
Our Day Will Come was their biggest international hit and in fact played in Manchester soul clubs throughout the sixties but usually in the form of the album cover version by Isaac Hayes. From Akron Ohio, the lead singer Ruby Nash Curtis with the rest of the group being Ed Roberts, George Lee, and Leroy Fann. They began in 1961 and the smash hit Our Day Will Come was in 1963.
The male members left and by so 68′ they re-formed into an all female line-up.
