Roy Docker’s excellent song Mellow Moonlight has popped up again in commercials on TV and as sampled on some pop recordings.
In the 60’s at Manchester‘s Soul clubs, it was quite a hit especially at the Blue Note Club. If there is ever a Blue Note compilation CD this Roy Docker track will definitely feature.
It was first played at The Blue Note in Manchester and ‘BlueNoters’ having finished Saturday evening at that club moved on to the Wheel All-nighter and so requested it there!
