A great rocking soul track by Ray Sharpe – but which came first, this backing riff or the same one for Aretha Franklin‘s Save Me. Answers on a postcard please.
Strangely enough, Ray Sharpe started out playing Rockabilly music as well as blues. But he was inspired to play the guitar after listening to country and western greats such as Hank Williams.
He wrote songs, similar in some ways to the songs of Chuck Berry.
Ray Sharpe was a talented blues guitarist who went on to play with the King Curtis Orchestra. He also had Jimi Hendrix playing alongside at one time.
