I remember her listening to records in a red brick ‘council ranch’ house on Rooley Moor Road Rochdale in the 1970s.
I knew her manager many years later. Its amazing that a Soul singer came from Rochdale England. Well she is related to that other famous lady singer from the town: Gracie Fields.
Lisa obviously likes Soul music and she stars in a film about Northern Soul as the mother of the lad who discovers his passion for this music in: NORTHERN SOUL.
