Wilfred Edwards, otherwise known as Jackie Edwards was born in Jamaica. In 1962 Chris Blackwell set up Island Records, Jackie Edwards had been working with him since 1958 and they came to England together.

He helped out by delivering and distributing Island records to London shops, and wrote songs too, he wrote Keep On Running and Somebody Help Me for the Spencer Davis Group.

Both sides a major hit at the Wheel and Blue Note. I Feel So Bad was a gigantic Twisted Wheel Allnighter favourite. And now at 103 on The Northern Scene book The Top 500.
