The G Cleffs appeared Live at the Twisted Wheel – were they British? Or the originals? Who knows (I didn’t go to The Wheel that night) but I think it was the British group. The original G Clefs were four brothers from Boston, who in 1956 had a hit with their do-wop songs Ka Ding Dong and ‘Cause You’re Mine.
Toured for years – Brooklyn’s Paramount Theatre, Harlem’s Apollo and appeared on American Bandstand. And even now in the 21st century they still do the Do-Wop.
