The Foundations were a British Band active in the late sixties. Although they were termed a ‘soul’ band, in fact they were more middle of the road pop based and viewed very much as an inferior product by mods and soul fans of the time – on an equal footing with The Equals you might say. Nevertheless, ‘Baby, Now that I’ve found you’ was infuriatingly catchy and everyone knew at least the first verse. This was equally true of ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’. All the members seemed to have gone on to greater and ‘cooler’ things – see the Wikipedia link below.
Both of the above titles are still popular today, often still heard at sixties discos and weddings.
