Evelyn Thomas - Weak Spot

Weak Spot (1975)

High energy dance track by Evelyn Thomas from the Wigan Casino era. Where did they get the energy from to dance so feverishly to tracks like this? This history of soul music is inextricably linked with the (in the early days) prescription amphetamines which were routinely give out by doctors to cure everything from obesity to ‘feeling under the weather’. Only later was it realised how addictive the drug was leading to overdoses and death.
