SOUL from Eartha Kitt. And we thought she was “Just An Old Fashioned Girl”. Eartha Kitt was loved in the UK and appeared on many TV shows in the sixties and beyond. Her reputation took a bit of a hit after her many revelations in the more salacious of the British tabloids.
Her stock rose when she appeared in the TV Batman Series as Catwoman. Her rendition of Santa Baby still turns up every year while shopping in the supermarket.
She appears here because There Comes A Time does come pretty close to being a northern soul type record but with a slight reminisce of Diana Ross.
