Bobby Sheen Dr Love

Bobby Sheen - Dr. Love

Dr Love

This was Bobby Sheen singing his FIRST solo hit on the Soul scene.

Something New To Do (1972)

A slow classic – who said that Northern Soul was all fast tempo only for rapid dancers?

This song was also recorded by Prince Philip Mitchell.

Bobby Sheen’s version of Dr. Love gets to 236 on the Northern Soul Top 500. For us we actually preferred the original DR Love from The Whispers but the singer from Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans’s DR LOVE was also good.

I would have favoured Dr Love as my higher entry into the best Soul tracks from this great artist, but he does put it in his list at 441.
