Bobby Kline appears to be a bit of an enigma. No source can definitively say whether he was black or white, or whether he ever sang as lead singer for the Doo Wop group The Ocapellos. He does seem to have written the song The Stars for them, however.
We can’t include a picture of him either as there appears to be two Bobby Kline’s out there, one black, one white. The mystery continues although Say Something Nice To Me was sung by one of them!
