Bettye Lavette was very popular in the mid sixties and later. All through this period at Manchester‘s soul venues I Feel Good (All Over) was a constant track that just had to be played.

Real name Betty Haskin and born in 1946, Muskegon, MI based out of Detroit, Bettye signed to Atlantic in 1962, and had an R & B Top Ten hit with My Man He’s a Loving Man.

In 1963 and she released You’ll Never Change. In the same year she moved to the Lupine label releasing Witchcraft in the Air.

In 1965 she moved to Calla records and cut the now classic Let Me Down Easy.
