Johnny Ace – real name John Alexander, teamed up with B B King and Bobby Bland in the Beal Streeters based in Memphis.
He was rumoured to have died while playing Russian Roulette but according to witnesses, he was drunk and killed himself accidentally while playing with a pistol. He was aged 25 and it happended on Christmas Day, 1954. What a waste.
