Lamont Dozier was one third of the Motown song writing legend Holland Dozier Holland.
He was eventually forced to leave Motown due to lack of song writing royalties from Berry Gordy.
Holland Dozier Holland quit and started their own label – Invictus – and had major hits with Chairmen Of The Board, Freda Payne and others.
